Broken axle. Hmmm....Wonder what could have caused that? No fluid Change!

I was in an accident. Driver side front bumper of a suburban hit my passenger side and clipped my rear 22" wheel. Snapped right off. The bearing was in perfect condition. I bought a new axle which came with bearing, seal and wheel bolts so I went ahead and replaced the bearing. I had a hard time finding this specific differential in my area so I decided to restore it. Replacing drums, brakes, springs, cylinders, gasket, gear oil, u-joints, seal, bearing, bolts and paint.

That is what is good about a cylindrical roller bearing, they can actucally handle an axial load.
