HELP! Installing tailgate light bar...

Hey guys I have a 14 silverado and I just recieved a 60" Lightbar for the bottom of the tailgate... It came with the 4 prong connector that connects into the trailering harness, BUT, I want to hardwire it and make it look cleaner.... Does anyone have a DIY step by step on how to do this? Thank you for any help!!

I did this on my last truck. Look on the hitch plug and find out what wire does what and go from there.

We built a 5-way harness. Removed the two tailgate harness and built a a receiving 5way harness into the two harnesses and tucked it all up underneath. nice and neat. we spliced the wires and marine sealed the connections.

Not sure for the newer trucks but curtis made a plug that goes beteewn the truck and the bumper that has a 4 way in it. So you could plug and play and keep it all hidden
