Cleaning Windshield

What do you all use to get your windshield clean? Windex and those type cleaners just make mine smear. Got any tips?

Windex actually works fine for me as long as three things happen:

1) It is less than 85 degrees

2) The truck windshshield is NOT in direct sunlight

3) The windshield is dry and the weather is dry

Rain X makes mine greasy. I always use any brand of automotive glass cleaner because I want something safe for my tint when I clean the insides too. Right now I am using some auto glass cleaner by simonize that is in a spray can and its foam, so it works really well.

Windex with vinegar and newspaper.

Vinegar has a tendency to cause the plastic outgassings on the interior to stick to the windshield better. And it is not safe for some tinted windows. Plus if you are using Rain X on the outside, the Windex will take it off.

Paper towels tend to leave lint. Newspapers don't.

Newspaper is good to use, but I use coffee filters instead. Work just as well without the mess you can get from the print off of newspaper. Some of my buddies use diapers, yes diapers. Both desposable and non.
