Bubbles in front winshield

Anyone else notice this? I thought it was just water spots and kept cleaning and scrubbing until I realized its inside the actual windhsield, looks like small bubbles or blemishes sorta like when you first get your windows tinted. I really don't want a new winshield because I feel like they never seal up like they do from the factory but I guess I'm gonna have to bring it to the dealers attention next oils change.

What you are seeing is delamination of the plastic that is sandwiched between two layers of glass. This is how automotive safety glass is made. The plastic keeps the glass fragments together in case the windshield shatters.

 

Delamination of the inner plastic core is a sign of poor glass quality. I have seen it quite frequently on military trucks where windshield glass is usually made by the lowest bidder.

 

The only fix is windshield replacement.

My truck has streaks in the glass right above my line of sight. I tried cleaning inside and out until I realized it was in the glass. Only notice it when driving under streetlights and you can see it when the angle is right. But, like the headlights, transmission clunk and windshield, should GM's flagship pickup truck (and high profit margin vehicle) have problems like these? They have some real quality issues to work out. I guess when you pay that much of your hard earned dollars for a vehicle, you have very high expectations, which leads to disappointment.
