Rancho 4" lift

Anyone have experience with these? I'm looking at the one that relocates the control arms up. Does this kit cover everything that should be upgraded, or does a guy have to keep going to be thorough like many do with the levelling kits?

Well I went with the Rancho 4" lift, with RS9000 shocks. I've ordered a set of BMF 20x9 REPR's and 35x12.50x20 BMF MT's, which are a couple of weeks away yet. I'm keeping my stock wheels for winter use, so I put a set of Toyo LT285/75R18 A/T2's on them. I thought they might look a little narrow and tucked in with this lift installed, which I don't care about for winter, but they turned out pretty good. Here are a few pics. Because of the positive wheel offset I can hold off on getting mudflaps or fender flares until the new wheels/tires arrive.

The lift comes with a 3" rear block, so I asked the shop to set the front 1.5" lower than the rear before doing the alignment. They ended up setting it 0.5" lower than the rear, which is higher than I wanted, but I'm ok with how it looks and the ride is way smoother than I ever thought it would be. It actually feels smoother than it did stock. They had set all of the shocks to 4 (adjustments 1-9) and I thought they were a little too floaty on my drive home, so I set the fronts to 6 and the rears to 5 and it firmed up nicely. I'll play with them some more, but it truly rides amazingly well and I can't see it getting much/any better than this.

Looks good btw. Care to update on how the Rancho Kit performs?

Got any pictures with the BMF's on it?

Can you tell me what your total height is with the lift? I'm curious if I could fit in my garage after install... even if its just the fender I can work with it. Thanks!

That is exactly how I want my truck to look, I was not sure if 4 would be enough and now I see it is perfect. Good all around driving is important, this truck is not a toy. That lift looks beautiful, now you really motivated me to do this in the spring. Did you do it? I would have to do it so I understood it and could fix or tweek it on my own. Plus I only trust me to make sure it is done right and to sweat the details. There is always room to improve these type of things and I will take the extra time to do it. Blocks are OK if no bigger than 4"s, they keep the ride and payload intact and you know what you get exactly, I have had springs added and re-arched and you never know exactly until it is dropped on the ground, if too low you add a block, if too high you go back to the drawing board. That is a great looking lift and truck, now I can't wait.

I measured mine, and it looks like I'm at 82.75" not including the shark fin antenna. Bed rails are at 62" right up from rear tire (62.5" back by taillight), and 13" between top of tires and fenders with 35's.

MotionMan, just so you know, the Rancho 4" is actually 5" in the front, and 3" in the rear. Sits really nice.

That's why it looks good in the front, I like both of the 4" lifts it this thread, just enough to look great and not wack the truck out of shape. It is definitely a good, just need to save and have warm weather.
