2009 Silverado Air Horn install

I am in the process of installing an air horn in my truck but I hit a roadblock.

 

I installed the tank and compressor fine...tapped the fuse to the ignition for 12v and it runs fine.

 

I then tapped the horn fuse and ran it to the valve controlling the horn and...no dice.

 

Do I have to actually splice into the horn wiring? If so where...in the cab or under the hood...I'm lost.

 

Any help at all would be great!

did you try rotating the fuse tap? Silly sounding question I know... I did the same thing so I could switch between the stock and air horn solenoid. Did you have any luck?
