What do you guys use to clean your trucks? Like what kind of soap and rags for the outside. Stuff for the dash. What should I use to keep my tires shining for a long time?

Water.

Believe it or not dishsoap. WHY?? Cause I strip it down and take off all the wax coats and then polish, glaze, wax and then show polish everything I have. So stripping off all the old wax with a dishsoap isn't an issue for me.

Don't feel bad Jp, thats exactly how mine gets done as well. And it doesn't get done very often at that. Its just going to get dirty when I hit the next dirt road, so why bother.

I have one of those powerwasher things that are made for washing cars and stuff, it isn't one of those big ones, just a little one. Works really well, and gets all of the crap off of it, especially underneath the truck. Of course by the time I get done washing and drying, desert-dust has already settled on the truck, it sucks.

I use automotive car wash soap (I think the bottle I have now is by TurtleWax) and a lambs wool wash mitt. About 95% of the time I will dry the truck with a shammy. I use one of those synthetic shammies because they last alot longer and have a larger absorption ability.

Of course, Zaino for me! i have 8 coats, wait...or is that 9, or....uhmm, i forget...

I use nothing but white cotton towels, made in the USA, with their edges cut off for my truck. (can you tell i go a bit overboard??)

I keep bringing this pic back up, but this is wht taking good care of your vehicle can give you. And my truck is 2.5 years old in this pic...

Than again, you should see my truck now..(salt and sand covered)

My truck tends to get washed in spring with dishsoap, then from then on with meguiars car wash stuff. As for the towels Mervz.... I thought I was the only one..... I buy the most exp ones, 4 towels for waxing. 4 for drying. 4 for interior...the list goes on... heh

Dishwashing soap only used when I want to go back to square one and do the whole process again.
