The Wait Continues...

So, back on March 5th, my order was placed for my Silverado 1500 WT Blackout edition. My truck was build April 22nd. Now, I also work at the dealership and have access to build dates and out of curiosity I searched similar trucks and on out lot there is a nearly identical Blackout Edition, BUILT THE SAME DAY that was ordered for stock and it is sitting here. In my RPO codes it specifies rapid deliver due to being a custom order yet the one for stock is already here. Needless to say I'm beyond frustrated and am simply venting. Many might ask why I don't take the one that's already here but it was received to the lot with minor damage and I would prefer my very first vehicle not have gone through the body shop before I've even sat in the drivers seat...

Man that sucks! I would hate to sit at the dealership and watch other trucks get delivered when you feel yours should take priority. I ordered March 24th and hope to get mine any day. I am in Florida and my build date was the same week in April. Then it was shipped from Mexico and has been sitting in Jacksonville, which happens to be where all my family lives. So for two weeks they have been telling me the hold up was customs.

Your truck must have been built in Mexico then, otherwise the customs thing is BS. Mine was build in Fort Wayne Indiana, apparently shipped on the 3rd and they're telling me its still in the states... I find it really hard to believe it takes that's long to get from Indiana to Alberta by train but what do I know, lol. Just wish they could tell me a date it will be here but no one here has a clue.

You should have it soon. I am in the GTA ordered Sierra crew cab (Mexico) around the same time built April 13 arrived at dealer May 7th.

How long did it take y'all to get an order number for your truck so you could track it?

I placed my order with Laura gmc about a week and a half ago and just curious when I'll be able to start tracking the progress.

It took about two weeks or so for the factory to accept it and then you will be able to inquire about the order number.

Wth! Well I ordered a Gmc all terrain 6.2....definitely more constraints on the big motor.

Truck arrived at the dealer on Friday and I will be picking it up in the morning when they open at 11. The wait is over!

I take delivery of the truck tonight!!!!!! Beautiful weekend here in Edmonton AB and I can't wait to have her on the road!. Pics will follow.

I'm right there with you Jeremy. I am doing some extra walking right now since I park toward the end of the lot away from most cars.

I'll just take pictures of the license plates of the cars beside me if I have no choice but to park beside people, than just hunt them down later and hide the body. (jokes, I have no intentions of actually murdering anyone)
