How tight should the oem tip clamp be?

I would guess as tight as you can get it, so the tip doesn't move?

OEM specs for the factory tip says the clamp should be tightened to 32-35 ft lbs.

 

Personally, I don't have a torque wrench, so I just tightened it till it was sturdy, and it's been there for a few weeks no problem. I've driven around 2,000 miles and it hasn't fallen off.

Torquing an exhaust tip....Really! Just tighten the damn thing and if you don't have a feel for wrenching leave it to someone else. COME ON MAN!!
