Headlight swap for LEDs SLE All Terrain

Freind of mine looking to upgrade...

Does anyone know if the wiring harness on a 2014 SLE will take a headlight upgrade to the LED surround lights of an All Terrain or SLT?

Are the lights interchangeable?

Can someone chime in on an aftermarket light if OEM is too expensive.

OEM is too expensive. Around $600 per side. You can get replicas for around $600 for the pair. BUT the rest of the project is expensive and last time I heard, can't be done, you'd need the dealer to reflash your BCM and dealers won't flash for squat[emoji53]

The guy who installed a back up camera had the dealer flash the ability to use it. This has lead me to question what they can and what they can't flash.

Yes you can. Ofer at Gen5diy makes SLE to SLT harnesses plug and play. No BCM flash needed, mine work perfectly on all settings. Harness is about $190.00, and he also sells the whole set-up with OEM lights for about $1200.00. I found my OEM lights new on ebay for $300 to $400 ea. if you can wait for them to pop up. There is a thread on this (sorry, not good at links ) named SLE to SLT headlight swap.

The dealer cant flash the ECM/TCM/BCM with anything other than the same parameters that the vehicle was programmed from the factory or via what GM has currently on file for the VIN. There is one person that can reprogram the BCM that I know of currently.

We all know the person that can reprogram the BCM, we have him on speed dial, LOL but you will need to replase 1/2 the front wires to have it done this way, The SLT headlights have more wires then the outer headlight and that power the LED's so that want work.
