2014 Sierra 5.3……..low compression on cylinder #7 ?????

Recommended Posts

Man, they sure went the long way around replacing a bad lifter.

Yes, 4 days in the shop, 2 to diagnose, and 2 to repair……….meanwhile, a couple of the guys on this forum diagnosed it in 2 minutes, and a 1,000 or so miles away!! I appreciate all the input and help.

The only issue GM has to do all of the tests to keep the head office happy.

They have to authorize any repair that involves tear downs on the engine or transmission.

Mechanic probably had an idea what it was right off but thye have to jump through the GM the hoops.
