No reverse lights, help ?

Hey guys, just a quick question, hopefully someone can help me with it. Ive got a 1997 Chevy K1500 5.7L V8, it just put a trans in it about a month ago. The trans is out of a 97 GMC yukon with the same engine size and it was 4WD just like my truck. After putting the trans in however, i have no reverse lights, and no shift selector light on the dash. If someone could post a few possible causes, im stumped here. Thanks in advance to all that offer possible causes

Park/Neutral Position/Back Up Lamp Switch. On the driver's side of transmission where the cable attaches. That switch is probably bad. ACDelco p/n D2263C.

Thanks, i thought it might be a compatability issue at worst. And that will solve my dash light issue as well ?

I'd think so. On newer trucks, say a 2002, or 2003, where the PRNDL is LCD in the cluster, if the indicator drops out that is under the gears in the PRDNL, replacing that switch restores function of the indicator.
