Has anyone used this site before? If so coul you share your buying experience please.

I am in the (long) process of making some mods to my new truck. I know of some sites members use (autoanything, realtruck, shopchevyparts) but I dont recall seeing anyone say they used CARiD before. And anytime I search for what Im looking for their site is usually one of the top few to pop up in the search.

Only thing Ive heard was thrpugh a youtube review for some bulbs and this person said that theure basically a middle man, but their bulbs arrived broken.

Thanks for your help

I just ordered a set of light brackets last week from them and it went painless. I haven't received the brackets yet so I cant say they are 100% reliable.

They will reliably charge you more than most anybody on the web.

Expensive & slow shipping but the parts will arrive as described. I think they are located in NJ, took a little over a week to get some stuff to Cali. Imo, you can find better and cheaper sites.

Thanks for the replies, will use them as last resort. Good to know that you do get your products though and its not some knock-off china replica site

They had the lowest price on the brackets that I was looking for and as for shipping they were quick. My parts should be here tomorrow.

I have used them as well. I usually check them, 4wheel online and auto anything. If you call 4 wheel online they can sometimes get you a better deal. I bought my tires, exhaust and tonneau cover from them.

I have ordered from them as well. They even gave me a discount for having served in the military.

I recently bought a dynomax catback from them. Shipped quickly, had no problems. And a good price

funny... i ordered my dynomax from them too (best price around).... They send me an email saying they can't ship it to NY. I called and the woman said "it has an illegal catalytic converter" I tried for a half hour to tell her it has NO catalytic converter and it mounts behind my trucks 3 factory ones. Had to climb the flag pole to management who agreed and said he would get it to ship tomorrow. 3 days later still hadn't shipped so i told them i want them to cover the shipping charges. The guy took that as "cancel my order" so i got a cancellation email. Had to call back again and after an hour phone call and 2 more days wait it finally shipped.

i guess that's the headache i get for wanting it the cheapest i could find.

p.s. love my dynomax VT

I had ordered the dynomax from summit racing. After about 2 wks got an email saying backordered again. I canceled that order and ordered from Carid, got it in about 3dys. I don't know, sometimes things occur that you just shrug your shoulders and say, I don't understand the problem.

    • ///// Ok--Thanks for that info--I could not find yesterday when I looked for the specs on that NAPA filter what I wanted. Their website is not very user friendly. I buy all teh filters for  our three vehicles once or twice a year. Have always run NAPA Gold on everything I own....I buy it thru my Son's account for his business-which he has a Heavy Equipment repair shop-one reason he uses NAPA so much-they have such a full line of coverage for just about anything/anywhere- He gets s  good discount because of volume bought. Anyway-Thank you -Sir for your response.   glenn
    • It is possible to add your own 12v outlet to your truck.  Check out this video:   I verified via GM Upfitters that pin 31 is the same on the 1500 trucks.  The wire is GM part number 84779405.   You can get the GM 12v outlet from Amazon  https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Accessory-Receptacle-25774623-13549530/dp/B0F1H9YRGF EWAY 12 Volt Power Adapter for GM   https://www.amazon.com/EWAY-Chevrolet-Silverado-Cigarette-Ignition/dp/B0915RRW6Q/ref=sr_1_1?   I just haven't figured out a good place to put the 12v outlet in my truck.   Some people are getting USB-C to 12V adapters  https://www.amazon.com/WYMECT-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-Adapter/dp/B0F87WNQKB/ref=sr_1_1_sspa? Not sure if they provide the correct amperage that a device like a tire inflator would need.
    • Thanks; I looked there a few minutes, and I think I can find something. I really never looked there, as I thought it was stuff like PTO/aftermarket bodies/accessories like snow plows.
    • This is a 1/2 ton thing ONLY.  All HDs 2020-2026 have the two speed transfer case, with Autotrac as an option.     1/2 tons 2019-2026, regular 4x4s come with a single speed case (no 4LO!), and trucks with Z71 ordered, or all Trail Boss trucks come with the 2 speed case.  2 speed case is also an option on WT, and is also standard on High Country.
    • 2013 5.3 still to this day calls for the PF48 filter.  Which as a 15psi bypass pressure.     There is a TSB, 17-NA-157 that talks about the PF-63 and PF-64 filters which have a higher bypass rating of 22psi.    TSB HERE - temp.xml   "Beginning in 2012, the oil pumps began to regulate main gallery feedback instead of pump out pressure. This means that the oil pump now does not begin to regulate until pressure is built up to the main gallery. This change reduces the amount of time it takes to provide oil to the engine bearing and lifters during extreme cold start conditions.  Main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are present on the following engine families which use Spin-on oil filters: Small Gas Engine (SGE), Large Gas Engine (LGE), High Feature (HFV6) Gen2 and Small Block Gen5 gasoline engines. These engines with the main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are factory built with an ACDelco® oil filters"   It also calls out what engines use those filters.  The gen 4 small blocks were not on that list (LMG, LC9, L9H, L92, L94, L20, L96).  Gen 5 small blocks use the higher pressure filter.          That all said...   Your 7045 Napa filter is the PF63 equivalent, with 22psi bypass.  You are already using the higher bypass pressure filter.  You CAN keep using it, you don't technically have to use it though.
