Aftermarket DVD or MyLink video

Hello all, looking for some input on video capabilities of the 2105 no NAV mylink system. I have heard there are some who have had success with playing video through an sd card or usb, others with dvd (obviously the nav system) I dont know that the non nav unit actually contains a dvd drive?

Have any of you been able to achieve this? If so how, how much, and is it worth doing?

My wife and I will be taking my truck and a bed tent (Napier or other not sure yet) on a short over night (non)camping, and thought the kids might pile in with their cousins to watch a movie while we all hang around a fire with my brothers and sisters.

I read some stuff from mvi on the video in motion just not sure it applies to this set up.

Any feedback is appreciated. If this should not be a new thread please forgive my rookie mistake and guide me to where i should be. Best to all.
