Trailer brake controller

Has anyone installed an aftermarket brake controller on their 2014 truck? If so does it just plug in under the dash, and if so where? Or does it need to be wired in to install?

There are lots of threads on this, just do a search. It should just plug in to the harness already under the dash.

I installed a Tekonsha. YouTube it and you'll see some great vids that are very helpful showing you the exact steps.

 

It's a pain to take the cover off the box where the plug goes, but after that, it's rather straight forward.

Do a search in the Accessries section. GM harness that plugs in under dash near steering wheel mount. Some trucks had the harness in the glove box. Others had to get dealer to supply it. It is not like former years where the harness was already there and just had to plug brake controller in (my 2011 Silverado was ready to go).
