Midnight Edition seating-double cab

Finally got to see a Midnight edition in person & I really like it......but I've been unable to get a straight answer on the seat options.

I'd like to get a Midnight double cab, 4wd; but I want bucket seats, and a full console, but is this available with leather? Double cab midnights are all LT's, and the crews are all LTZs, but I don't want a crew or the price bump to the LTZ. And out of the 6 double cabs I've seen in the area, they were all cloth, and 2 of the 6 were console trucks. I've talked to a couple dealers but I haven't gotten a straight answer.....they just want to sell the truck they have in inventory, which I understand, but is also kind of annoying. If the leather buckets are unavailable I don't know what I'll do.....the fiancé likes the High Country, but that's big $.

I'm in a '12 ECSB LTZ Z71 now....I like my leather & really don't want to give it up. If anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

I have a midnight double cab LT with leather but it has the full bench seat up front. I traded up from a 14 with a console and wouldn't go back.

Never understood the console in a pickup thing. I was shopping hard for a Ram or Tundra before I bought my Silverado but it was near impossible to find one in an Ext. cab with a bench seat up front.

Leather typically is going to switch you from a 40/20/40 bench to buckets with a console. The aftermarket leather "seat covers" are exactly that - covers. They pull on right over the cloth material. Your best bet would be to find a local shop that would do a true leather conversion and expect to add $1500-$2000 into the cost and be able to finance it if you want. The dealership likely has at least one shop that they work with regularly - go visit them and ask about the entire process they use, including whether they do anything with the foam in the seats prior to adding the leather seat surfaces.

I don't have the midnight edition, but I have a DC, LT, with leather and the front bench seat...I don't have the link handy, but there is a thread for adding the floor console "full console" with parts lists.

Should be available. How far from New York state are you? We have a leather Midnight on the lot but it lacks the center console.

You can look at this a couple ways. Factory leather and a console. Factory leather with bench and you swap a console in it. Factory cloth with console, and the dealer can do a Katskinz OE style leather swap.

Thanks for the replies. I've searched around & played with GM's build & price link on the Silverado website, and it sounds like I can get 40/20/40 cloth, 40/20/40 leather, or cloth/console, but no leather/console. I also read through the topic on adding a console and that would be an easy swap for me. I'm thinking I'm going to try to find a leather Midnight & do the console swap myself, the fiancé and I really prefer leather & I like the console.

Sorry forgot to add- I'm in NE Illinois

For what it's worth, I'm a "I like leather better" person, too. My truck has cloth, and I was certain I was going to swap it out for aftermarket leather and I have no interest. The cloth in these trucks is actually pretty comfortable. You might actually end up quite liking it.
