4WD Help needed

Since I got my truck a year ago it has had 4X issues. I replaced the switch and the transfer case motor both were bad about three months in. It worked fine until a couple weeks ago, before we went on vacation our yard was wet and I had to drive in backyard it went into 4x fine and back out. Left for two weeks and when we came back it has not locked front axle at all. If I push the button on the dash I hear the motor move but the switch light for everything but 2wd just flashes when they are attempted including the AWD. So on Friday I swapped the fron axle actuator and figured it would work, it did not however change anything. I put the old one on and pressed the buttons to see if maybe it would move at all, it did not.

Have you checked the fuses? I'm not positive but you have one in the driver's door jamb area and one in the fuse block under the hood.

I checked the fuse by the door, I have not found anything in owners manual showing a fuse for it underhood.

The only "code" I have seen in the service 4wd. I used a buddies scan tool but it only shows the fuel evap code that occasionally pops up even though I changed out that part already.

Find a better scanner. There is a code stored somewhere on there, and only the "expensive" ones are able to pick them up.

I've heard that the capable Snap-on scanner is $4,000 or so. I'd say take it to a drivetrain shop and have them scan it. "Most" places will diagnose for free. If you pay a guy cash to scan it for you, I'm sure they would oblige.
