2014 Sierra steering wheel cover...any suggestions?

Hey I have a 2014 Sierra SLT. Has anyone used a steering wheel cover on their truck? My leather steering wheel is nice, but I'm concerned with the thinness of the leather and feel like it could rip with a sharp finger nail. Im thinking about putting a steering wheel cover like one of those soft neoprene types, but wondering if it would have negative effects on the leather or anything? any suggestions? thanks

I had a wheel skin once, not very nice IMO. I'll just buy a new steering wheel and have it installed once I wear the leather out on my sierra.
