03 2500 HD silverado tcase

Hello today my mothers tcase started to make a whining noise like a power steering pump does when under full pressure, we happened to pin point the noise coming from the middle of the truck where the tcase is. And dont really and have never heard that sound ever before, and would like to get an answer on what the problem might be.

Start with the basics, what is the fluid level and condition? If the fluid level is low it will start making some noise. Depending on the mileage it may be due to be changed as well.

I put more fluid in but the noise was still there, then a friend of mine told me that the noise was from the rear seeal being pushed in a bit too much.
