LT Sidewall Dimples

I have a brand new 2015 1ton Sierra. The sidewalls of all my Goodyear LT tires have dimples in 3 places. The dealer says it is normal and the dimples occur where the belts meet. Just looking for some confirmation.......

I had Goodyear tires on my 1/2 ton that had the same issue, it made me nervous, but nothing ever came of it. The crappy tread life was an issue first.

 

I've seen the dimples on various other tires, it doesn't seem to be a "real" problem. But that didn't make me feel any better.

Don't worry about dimples. Now bulges worry me.


Didn't blow. An eight year old steel carcass Michelin rib. Was curious how much more it would take but decided not to push it anymore.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the input. Just doesn't seem like a good way to build a tire. But YIKES....that bulge would surely make me nervous! I would definitely cash 'em in at that point! Thanks again.
