99 Tahoe/Suburban barn doors......

Hello,

 

I am looking for a bit of help here on my 99 Tahoe with Barn doors. They are VERY stiff to open and close, and I have tried lubricating the exposed (outside) hinges with a couple of different lubricants and have not been able to get them to open and close smoothly with minimal effort.  Has anyone else experienced this situation and have a suggestion to getting them to open and close with minimal effort, like when it was new.

 

The vehicle is in showroom condition, never been hit or repaired, and to the best I can see, there is no rust on them (to the eye on the outside anyways).

The dealer may be able to adjust them for you.  I know others have had the striker plate adjusted on the extended cab pickup doors.
