Front Parking Assist Alert Question

Got my new 2015 LTZ yesterday and noticed when I got home that the front parking assist alert doesn't give an audible alert until the red bars light up on the DIC and no sound is heard when the yellow and orange bars light up. By that time you're only about 12" from the object. Is this "normal"?? My experience with others such systems has audible alerts as soon as the bars start appearing so I'm going back to dealer on Monday morning to have it checked out. Checked the truck owner manual manual and it seems to imply I should be hearing something as the yellow/orange bars appear prior to the red bar lighting up.

What are you guys/gals with the front park assist seeing? Is my truck behaving normally, or do I definitely have a problem.?

I hadn't noticed since I use the seat shaker. When I switch to beeps it works just like yours, the tone doesn't sound until the final bars.

Agreed. Tested it today. Front doesn't sound until red bars. Rear sounds when I see yellow alert cone in the screen.

Thanks for the replies. Have an appt on this issue for tomorrow morning at dealership. The salesman also thought we should hear chimes earlier, but your feedback means I'm probably ok as is. Still plan to keep the appt as I noticed some vibration above 60 mph that I want them to check out.
