Strange T-Case Noise...Video Clip

Just got this refurbished t-case and put it in. Thought this sound might be a bad bearing but all the bearings are new.

Used Auto Trak II fluid. Seller tells me it's normal and the pump needs time to circulate all the fluid. I've put about 30 miles on it and the sound has gotten quiter but is still there.

Also I believe it groans more while I'm turning in 4x4 than my old t-case. Not sure why that would be.

If anyone could help me find out what this sound might be I'd appreciate it.

Sounds to me like its either pump or chain rub, its not right period. Take it back to him and the seller said pump needs time to circulate all the fluid is pure BS. It has got quiter because what ever its rubbing on has worn and is not hitting it as much. Check your owners manual for the fluid mine uses DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.

And it uses auto trac II. It's the electric shift t-case.

That's what my old t-case sounded like when it was low of fluid. Have you double checked the fluid level? If it's at the right level then, as stated above, take it back to seller. That is unacceptable to be making such noise.

Yes fluid levels were perfect. Auto Trac II fluid as manual states. I have taken the t-case back out and shipped it back awaiting refund. Ridiculous for almost $1,000 re-man t-case. Thanks for everyone's input

Good decision, maybe order from a reputable company to get better results? The guy you ordered from is obviously a lying moron...
