Starts fine then dies

Being a work truck, i suspect it doesnt see regular fill ups. If this is the case, then the fuel tank may be getting condensation accumulating creating a bad gas mixture. I would sef try the seafoam as its designed to rid water from fuel. Dont get a competitor. Get the actual seafoam brand and i suggest using it with a more potent mix than the bottle suggests. I think it says use one bottle for a full tank. I would use a full bottle on a half tank or less if possible

any chance you have hung a pressure gauge on the fuel rail as of yet???

If you haven't changed the fuel filter in a long time it would certainly be worth investigating, should be located on the inside of the frame on the driver's side probably just to the back side of the driver's door. Fuel pumps when they're getting ready to give up the ghost can get a little weird too, sometimes will work, then suddenly quit. The next time it dies, turn the key off and then just turn the key to "run" (don't try starting it) and see if you can hear the pump turn on, if it doesn't, bang on the bottom of the gas tank and see it if then turns on. If this is the case it's time for a new fuel pump, but I'd be eyeballing that filter first. Running around low on fuel is also hard on the pumps, the fuel helps keep them cool and when the tank is very low of course this isn't happening. Also when running around low, any dirt in the tank can more easily get sucked up into the pick-up screen.

The fuel filter is next on the list. It's definitely a cheaper and easy thing to try.. thanks for the input. . Haven't checked the fuel pressure yet, but I will...

Well started the truck today, and decided to unhook the "new" MAF and see how long it would run before it died.. it ran until I turned it off.. :)... I replaced the MAF earlier this year, so never considered it to be the prob.. I'm still gonna replace fuel filter, because it is due, but as of now, I believe I have it figured out.. fingers crossed that when I buy another MAF , It will work like a champ.. thanks for all the input fellas.. I'll keep u informed. .
