creating a new key fob case

Does anyone know how to open the oem key fob case? Im considering trying to create my own case but step one is getting the old one open without breaking it. There are no screws that i see, so i assume its a matter of prying in the right spot.

I think the oem case is hideous and chincy, which from what i gather is the consensus here as well.

My plans are to design my own using cad and then use 3d printer or possibly kydex.

Did you look at the battery change procedure for the fob, in the OM?

 

With the cover off/battery out there may be a way to open it further.
