Locking Differential Install Price?

I have an extended cab 4x4 chevy that has a open rear diff. Today I was trying to pull a heavy trailer out of a soggy yard. My drivers side tires were on pavement and the passegner in the wet grass. I could hardly get the trailer out even in 4x4, and tore the crap out of a customers yard while doing it. If my truck would've been equiped with a G-80 it wouldn't have been too much of an issue. I really want and honesly need a Posi, it would also help pulling my boat up ramps. I was looking around and decided on a Detroit Tru Track, yes I know this isn't a true locker but it still should work good for what I want. However I'm not sure what size my axle is, but i do know I have 3.73 gears. Second question is about how much will labor cost me if I get a shop to do the install? If anyone has had this done could you tell me how much it ran? Also where did you get it done? Dealer? Regular mechanic? Transmission shop? Thanks guys.

I'll take a true trac over a G80 any day. The G80 gov loc is the stupidest design I've ever seen. It's literally designed to be a time bomb, not to mention it doesn't even work that well in the first place.

I installed a true trac on my 06 1500 a year ago and am very happy with it. Did the work myself, so I can't give you much insight on what a shop would cost, however it would likely take them 2-4 hours or so.
