Adding LED fog lights?

How difficult would it be to add LED fog lights to my 2011 GMC? Should I make up brackets for the factory bumpers slots? Or mount them in the bumper slot?

Is wiring and adding a switch difficult?

It seems easy. Ive never installed fog lights but ive done aux lighting (rear lights and a light bar). It depends what look you want. If you want an OEM look, go ahead and try to rig something up in the bumper. If you want an LED light bar which wont really be legal on the road (at least thats what they say!!) then put it in the bumper slot.

Once you have it mounted, Run a wire into the cab from the red wire (positive wire) of the lights. Ground the black wire either to the frame or your battery. With the one wire in the cab put that in your switch. Then you need a source of power. Personally, I like using fuse taps (it is a ~$5 part from pepboys that allows you to take power from a fuse in your fuse panel) that way you can pick power that only comes on with your ignition so you dont kill your battery by accident.

Or another option for a source of power is to go under the dash board on the driver side and find power from the "power panel" thing. Not exactly sure what it is called but it is covered and has empty slots. Get a test light and start testing. Then you can just plug in a female spade connector and run that wire to your switch. If your switch requires a ground itself, run a black wire to any good ground inside - usually some sort of nut an bolt will work. I hope this helps you out. If I was home, Id take some pictures of my lighting set up for you. If you have any questions just ask!
