Upgrading headers in California

Im looking into upgrading the headers on my 2015 silverado. Id really like to get the LT kooks headers and y pipe with high flow cats. Im also looking at the JBA shorty headers since they're CA legal, but I'm not sure its actually worth it...

 

So my question is, what are my options? Is anyone in CA running LT headers? Any advice?

 

CA DMV website says new vehicles don't have to undergo a smog check for the first 6 registration years, i just purchased my truck this june. Would it be worth while to just go for it and hold onto the stock header / y pipe so i could switch back just before a smog check?

You wont have to smog til may 2021. But if it is worth it is all up to you. You will be fine for 5 years and then every 2 years have to change out exhausts
