2015 Silverado electrical issues

First time posting .

My 2015 Silverado has been acting weird . While on a recent trip I would ( at times) step on the brakes and the brake light switch would make a loud click , then all dash and radio functions would shut down like I turned the key off and on . I have amps wired in but this was done about 5 months ago . Seems to happen more while driving above 70 mph and doesn't happen every time. It's scary bc the cruise came back on once and I almost hit the car in front of me . A) could this be a BL switch and B) can the amps cause this ? Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

Strange, the cruise control, once deactivated for whatever reason, should never engage by itself without driver's conscious input. This is a potentially very serious safety issue. Report it to NHTSA.

Did you ever figure anything out? I am having a similar issue where stability control kicks on and then I lose braking and steering and the radio and cluster shut off. The dealer is trying to figure it out, but has had no luck.
