Vibrations in new 2015 Sierra

I purchased a new 2015 Sierra 2500 HD and have a vibration in the steering wheel and gas pedal when rpms get to between 2000 and 2300, they can't seem to figure it out at the dealership and told me the other 2 they have on the lot have the same vibration, it happens when driving or sitting in park when you slowly rev it up. anyone else have this problem that has had it solved? it is going in again Friday Dec 11th again to try to diagnose it again. I find it odd that the other two new vehicles on the lot have the same thing yet they aren't trying to figure this out, I.had to get a hold of GM Canada to get some help to go forward.

I get it too, mostly when the RPMs are changing while the transmission is shifting.

I'm not worried about it.

Somewhere there is a engine/Trans mount of some kind that needs to be isolated.

Let us know if you find a solution.

Yup

very minor at the about 2200 rpms under light gas

almost like a harmonic vibration - can be felt in the steering wheel & more places with a bit less feel

I'm not worried about it

also my tranny has a slight clang when shifting from 3 to 2 under very light gas slighty uphill - just like my 2011 had - not worried

my truck has 15,000 miles and it was there from day 1

Thanks for the info, I will let you know what they find out, My 06 Chev 2500 never had any vibrations so I feel this one should be fixed as it is brand new and my very first brand new truck, another mechanic I spoke with who works for a different dealer said it sounds like it may be a harmonic balancer or possibly the torque converter.

This is one of those things I have to get fixed, as every morning I pull about a mile long hill and it vibrates the whole way up, either I get it fixed or I may have to quit work. :)

Thanks again.

For your ride out choose a gear that is not at the 2200 rpms +-

Have the same problem. After a couple of trips to the dealership they say it is harmonic resonance from the exhaust and it quite common. Apparently mine is worse than most but within GM spec so they are not going to fix it. Very annoying and can be quite loud at times so I am going to keep asking that they fix it.

They did a pico test on mine just before Christmas and I'm still waiting to hear what the results were from GM Canada's techs, I was told the same from another guy that it may be the harmonic balancer though, and yes it is very annoying.
