2004 Silverado dash lights still out

Greetings I have 2004 Silverado of which the dash cluster lights have stopped working. I'm all factory with lights and radio - have not swapped out anything for aftermarket except for the switches, other work is as follows:

November 2013 – rebuilt gauge cluster at Tacoma Speedometer, did a great job and all things worked as should again.

Spring of 2015 dash cluster lights don’t turn on, fog light indicator doesn’t illuminate, 2x4x selector light doesn’t illuminate. All other lights (headlights, fog etc) work just fine, though I suspect not all my illuminations of the radio work as should, don’t know exactly what all should light up as far as radio buttons and dials. Should the on/off/volume illuminate? Anyway…

Checked both fuses that have been mentioned. Replaced both light switches – 2x4x neutral light blinked red a few times as I connected the new fog light switch, did not notice if it blinked when connecting the new main light switch.

No change or effect on the lights for any of above mentioned.

I can tell my driving lights are on by the glow from the CD slot on the factory radio as well as being able to see at night of course, the dimmer for dash lights appears to work fine … lights for odometer and radio will dim down and back to full glow as they should and did so before replacing the switches.

I’ve seen dozens of posts all over the internet presenting this challenge and all fixes beyond switch replacement seem to be hush hush –dead ends. Any further discussion for fixes on this problem past the switches … I can’t seem to find so hopefully I’ll get some extended solutions here.

Thank you in advance.
