BREAKIN!!

Gang,

Recently my 1994 Silverado was broken into and all the stereo equipment was stolen out. I've since then purchased an Audiovox alarm and a Pioneer Premier 740 MP3 player. I replaced the center dash piece with another one from circuit city. Catch is....no AC Vents. I went to dealership and the hardware (springs and brakets) are like $2 total..no biggie. The Vents were $19 a piece . If anyone has any of these spare vents they'd wish to sell..I'd gladly pay around 10 a vent plus shipping.

2nd part of the problem comes with my door. I'm sure several of you all have had some little bastard go under your door handle with a screwdriver. Thats what it looks like happened here. Gay Pontiac wants $375 to fix it. I'm not really sure what they will do because he didn't give me a printed estimate. Norman Freede Chevy wants $750 to fix it, and he gave me an estimate. They want to do all kinds of crap...repaint whole door, replace side molding (with 1500 logo on it), blend with quarter panal and bed, replace handle and lock...ect. If anyone knows of anyone in the Houston area who does this kind of work let me know please. Thanks a million in advance...

I know of a few places around town...what part of town are you in? The dealership is always going to be significantly higher. They probably want to replace your door, and then they have to put new mouldings on, repaint, blend, etc. Let me know...
