Removing level and rear? Need answers

I have a 2014 Silverado. I have a 2.5" level and and a 1.5" rear. I'm running 275/70r18 grabber at2. My mpg has diminished horribly. I'm getting 11.5-12 mpg on highway. If I remove the lift will my mpg improve any? I was getting 18-20 on highway before lift and tires. Please help!

Is it winter where you are? These trucks get crap mileage on short trips when it's cold out. I ran a 2" level and 285/65-18's on my 2014 Silverado and gas mileage didn't go down much.

the biggest problem is the tires. bigger heavier tires = less mpg.

Also winter temps make gas mileage go to crap.

Yes, based on your set up... it's good for a pretty nice MPG lost. Even more true if you also removed your front air dam.

Hold on, before you remove the lift; something tells me you went for a bigger tire size and you're not taking in consideration the speedo is measuring against the stock tire size.....which is?

Your original was probably 265/65 - 18 which is 31.6 inches diameter and weighed about 35 pounds a piece. Your new set up is 33.2 inches and probably weigh 60 pounds or more each. Your speedo is off by nearly 10% now so if you are getting 12 mpg on the highway you are really getting more like 13.2 mpg. The bigger and heavier tires combined with the small lift will easily make you lose 3 to 5 mpg. Taking off the leveling kit will give you 1 to 2 mpg back on the highway and taking off the heavy tires will give you 1 to 3 mpg back, especially at stop and go and slower speeds. Putting on a set of LT AT tires on my work truck that were just .5 inch bigger made me lose 2.5 mpg on average.

I say do what you like, if you go back to stock you should have the same mpg you had before but it seems to me that your into modding your truck because your on this site so pulling everything off and returning to stock probably wont make you happy either.
