The fact that you would sue contradicts your statements. This is what is wrong with America (and people in general), first thought is i am going to sue as opposed to letting them correct and make things right. You sue when a happy resolution can't be come to as a last resort, not a first step. probably the same type of people that sue if the cruise ship misses a port or has an electrical problem that inconveniences their trip.

 

This whole you owe me a new truck and I am going to sue is just sad and pathetic, like those saying it have never done anything to not justify having to go back and fix or correct anything. Shesh, people these days...

 

Sucks OP, reminds me of Ron White's story at Sear's and how he would sue to own the Sear's tower. Figure out what would make you happy and let them know. You hold the reigns (with in reason). Not much damaged probably happened, let them fix it and get something else out of it like extended warranty, free services or accessories or something. Let us know what you do and happens.

As a service technician, you have a responsibility to do your job correctly or LIVES are at stake. I bet if you were headed down the expressway at 70MPH and lost a wheel, you would have a very different opinion.

 

I'm not saying I expect a million dollars here, and I understand humans make mistakes, but if I work on a vehicle, I triple-check my work because my familys life depends on it.

I would take it somewhere else to get looked at and get things repaired and tell dealer they will pay for it. What they did was pure negligence!

 

I'm thinking this way too. Take it to someone else to evaluate since the one that caused the damage does have some incentive to cover up their damage.

Thank every one for the great responses. I am only looking to get my truck repaired. It could have been way worse. The dealer ordered two new rims because the holes egged. They are also changing the ball joint because the control arm is ok so they say. They used paint less dent removal for fix the fender and new wheel well molding. The driver door was repainted I guess a lug nut hit the door and chipped the paint. The only problem now is the are not doing the rotors but I am going to look into that further.

Id the rotors are ok then i dont see a problem but if there is physical damage i would demand a new set.

 

Slso check tie rods and all linkage. Drive the truck at hwy speeds and make sure it doesnt have any vibration.
