Recently got a '09 Sierra. LOVE IT! But few questions

Hey all, first time poster. Recently bought a 09 Sierra 1500 and absolutely love it. But after getting home, noticed a few issues.

1) The driver-side button that lowers the passenger side window does not work. The one on the passenger door works fine down and up, but my driver side can only go UP. How can I trouble shoot this? Why wouldnt the window go down if it can go up?

2) The cruise control does not seem to be working. Unless I am an idiot and cant figure out how to make it work. The button in the middle that has a clock looking symbol lights up as shown in this pic:

but the res/set buttons do nothing. Any ideas to trouble shoot?

3) Im not the biggest fan of the middle console...I dont like how there is no top to it, so that if you tilt it back everything falls out. Any way to switch that out with another style?

Thanks for the time guys.

Check the switch connections at the driver side door. You are going to have to remove the switches to get at the connections. You may end up needing a new switch if all is ok there. I just replaced the switch on the driver side rear of my 2010 Silverado, it was causing a similar issue to what you are having but mine would only go down.

Check your cruise control fuses and make sure nothing is blown. If the center light is lighting up, the cruise should work when you hit the bottom set button.

Which center cojnsole do you have? What is the trim level of your truck? Both of my trucks have a cover on the center console, boith "LT" models with the third seat console.

I had the same issue with the cruise conytrol in my 08. Ended up, it was the brake light switch. After hours of research, I found that they had issues with these.

I second the brake light switch for the cruise control. Mine stopped working and replacing the brake light switch got it working again. I also had to replace my driver's window switch because I was having to push the button hard to get the passenger window to move.

Most likely problem with passenger side window is the driver side master switch(switches to all windows are a one piece unit)
