So i just went and measured my truck after the Fox 2.0 and Cognito UCA's are installed and have run through a few hundred miles. Truck is sitting at 40.5" at the front and 40 at the rear, difference is not that much to notice, but i'm thinking that with the slightest bit of weight it will go nose high.

Thinking of dropping an inch from the front but from reading, i'm worried i might over shoot it by adjusting too far.

Many people posted they didn't need new UCAs with the Fox 2.0? They said only with the 2.5 were they required. Mine bottoms out with the smallest pot hole. Its set at 2" Marco stated absolutely required. Just looking for a little clarification.

Yes, well...something is definitely not right, i spoke with Cognito about measuring down-travel, because, even with their UCA's and over an inch of clearance to the bump stop, i'm bottoming out.

Cognito adviced to measure droop, first, measuring from fender to axle while truck is sitting, then, lifting the truck and measuring again. The difference should be 2 inches or more.

I got 1/2 an inch, so something somewhere is limiting, either the shocks or something else (can't be the UCA's as they have more than enough room)

i'll report back here

What if I put the pro comp 2" level spacer back on. Then adjusted the coils down the 2". Maybe it would change the angle enough to work with the bump stop. I wonder if it would effect the ride?

Taking it in Saturday to have them adjust the coils down an inch. I will post the picture of the space from the stop. Looks like i need another alignment.

I'm also leaving the truck today at the shop to get them adjusted. Couple notes:

-I spoke to FOX and they recommend compressing the coil before turning the height adjuster, this, to prevent damage to the threads.

-Confirm how much down-travel you have before adjusting anything. Make sure that you know what is limiting the travel in your scenario, check control arms, CV joints, tie rods, etc. FOX told me that this shock has 4.63" of travel, you want about 50% both ways (i'm setting it 2" uptravel / 2.63" down-travel)

To know how much you need to adjust do the below:

Record Measurement

Full Drop Out (A)

Subtract 2”

Max Ride Height (B)

Setting your travel this way will guarantee you'll take the most advantage of the shock's available travel.

PS: i'm getting all of this information from talking to Cognito and FOX.

Thanks Marco for the info . Do they need to take the ball joints loose to adjust them? Or can they use a spring compressor and adjust them installed.

We actually had to took the whole shock off of the truck. The spring is very hard and it will take a good spring compressor to do it.

My truck is adjusted now, had to lower an inch in order to have the travel properly set, so my truck is now sitting 40" at the back and 39" at the front, truck still looks leveled so i'm not bothered by it.

Truck drives very good now, you'll be happy with the results.

Has anyone installed the new Cognito UCA's that they now have listed as being compatible with aluminum? If so what is the major difference between the "boxed uniball UCA" and just the"fully boxed UCA" besides the $200 difference in price. The cheaper of the two seems it would be better just because it has the dust cover at the joint unlike the full uniball. Has anyone has theirs long enough to get squeaking or wear out a uniball yet? Im just concerned because they don't seem to be sealed very well.

Went in today and adjusted them down 1" Got in the truck and backed up. The tires rubbed. Damn had to take them off again and go only a half inch. Now nice room between the control arm and bump stop. Should of just went with the BDS 4" lift with the Fox upgrade. Didn't need the hassle. 1st pro comp level, Zone body lift, rear blocks, Fox shocks all around. Took the front off 3X to get it right. I need a psychiatrist !
