Fox 2.0 - before and after results... W/Aluminum arms

I did a lot of research before I purchased. The early versions didn't work with the aluminum arms, but the latest version works perfect!

As you can see above, they gave me just a little more lift than the RC 2" and my arms have plenty of room/space, The ride is amazing as well.

As stated above, my advice is to buy directly from Fox to ensure you get the latest version and not one that has been sitting at a vendors warehouse.

If I drive highway 99% of the time, will I be able to notice the difference in ride quality between fox's and bilsteins?

I would assume yes, but they are Apples and oranges. Not sure why you would compare the two, they are designed for two different things.

I've never had the 5100's so I don't know how the ride would compare on the highway.

There in lies the rub, mine came direct from Fox just before Christmas. Sent them back to be "adjusted" and they never mentioned the revision. Oh well, my loss unfortunately. My next move from the 5100's will be King's or the long travel Icons now that I have Cognito UCA's.

Same as it did before pretty much with the RC 2", I'll post pics tomorrow though.

Yes, I agree. I believe the new revision is pretty new and just came out.

Most vendors don't stock that stuff, too expensive. Mine (the old version) were drop shipped direct from Fox.

I know there has been a lot of confusion here regarding the fox 2.0 coilovers, especially for the aluminum arm guys. Hopefully this will help clear things up for everyone.

My 2014 has the aluminum arms, I put on a set of Fox 2.0's this weekend and they worked as advertised!

I originally had the RC 2" spacer installed, I removed these and put the Fox set up on.

After the initial install, the fox set gave me about 3"-3.25" of total lift but settled at little over 2" total lift after a couple of days.

My fender measurements before the Fox set was right under 39" and now right over 39" with the Fox installed, working on trying to upload pics from my phone.

I have NO clearance issues at all either, the fitment is great and the ride is amazing! It's a night and day difference between the stock setup with rc 2" vs the Fox set. Not only is it smoother on road but it soaks up any bumps thrown at it. I haven't spent much time off road with it this weekend but the little I did I noticed a big difference as well.

I just spoke with a Fox rep and he said he was unaware of any fix for the aluminum arms. I was trying to explain your experience and success and he was wondering if you removed the tabs.

No, I didn't remove the tabs. The current shocks they have for aluminum arms work, again, I have them on my truck as proof. The rep may not know about development as the latest revision is pretty new but the part numbers are the same as before.

There is a spacer that is no longer in the aluminum arm shock but it's in the steel arm shock

Perfect.

I also asked them about the need for aftermarket UCA and they said it was not really a issue if you go with the 2.0's, however the 2.5's one should purchase aftermarket UCAs.

I'm still hung up on wondering if buying the 2.0's versus the 5100s will be worth it for me since I only go off-road during hunting season and it is just maintained gravel roads.

He was saying the reason we sometimes do not get much of a lift is because the aluminum UCA is thicker and that there is a rub. I'm not sure if anybody at fox knows the correct answer.

Do yourself a favor and just buy the 5100's front and rear for like $350. If you want a good coilover look to King or Icon. If you must have Fox I'd do the 2.5's with Cognito UCA's. The adjustment system on the Fox 2.0 is a joke.
