Do yourself a favor and just buy the 5100's front and rear for like $350. If you want a good coilover look to King or Icon. If you must have Fox I'd do the 2.5's with Cognito UCA's. The adjustment system on the Fox 2.0 is a joke.

Spoke with yet another person at fox today about the 2.0s and aluminum UCAs, he told me a different story about the issue. He was saying the reason we sometimes do not get much of a lift is because the aluminum UCA is thicker and that there is a rub. I'm not sure if anybody at fox knows the correct answer.

I covered this in a past thread. They figures out the issue after after they released the coilover for the aluminum trucks.

There is a lot of bitter people about the Fox 2.0 because the early versions were not correct and they didn't provide a buy back or swap option for those individuals that purchased them.

I have the latest 2.0 on my aluminum arm truck and they work perfectly and as advertised.

I understand why you are upset but it doesn't mean the 2.0 is a bad setup at all, why would anyone consider the 5100 over the 2.0 if they have a need and money for a better setup. The latest revision is perfect.

Not trying to be rude but this thread is about the Fox 2.0 setup for aluminum armed trucks and to clear up the confusion on them.

You keep asking a comparison between these and the 5100, everyone has given you the same answer.

The 5100 will look good and give the same leveled height as the 2.0 will. There is a dedicated 5100 thread that can answer all of your questions.

Sorry for bringing the 5100s into this.

I was under the impression the 5100s only gave us 1.8". Do the 2.0s not give a 2-2.5" lift?

They are adjustable 0-3", however anything really over 2-2.5" you need UCA.

Hey guys.

Just wanted to report, i've installed a set of Fox 2.0 shocks on my Regular cab (v8, 2wd). truck got 2" of lift, although the upper control arm is really close to it's bump stop, i now got a cognito UCA on order. i'm also debating if i like the 2" lift, i might adjust the fox shocks to lower it to how it was stock.

Below is a picture of the truck with the lift.

Also, to clear a little more on which shock is which, below is what fox sent me when i inquired about which shock for my truck:

Did you have to do any adjustment out of the box to get the full 2" lift? Are the Cognito UCA confirmed to work?

No adjustments, they are installed as they came from the box. The UCA's are on it's way right now, although i wrote them with all my truck info and they told me that they would work without problems, i'll reply here once they're installed.

Did you ever get the Cognito UCA's installed?

Got 2.0 installed today. Not much room between the aluminum uca and the bump stop looks like only 1/4 of an inch.

Had the Ranchos with the pro comp 2.25 spacers. Much better ride very happy for the money. also tightened the leaf spring bracket to 80 lbs. It was a full turn off.

Yes, i received them thursday and got them installed this friday. UCA's are great, there's about an inch of clearance from the bump stops now and the joint is now flat (with the stock UCA it was not at a good angle).

I swear it's like a different truck, i no longer have vibration, and i took the truck earlier this morning to a fire road, it's night and day how these shocks absorb the bumps.

See pics below: (need to clean my truck tho)
