High beams make no difference - aimed too high?

Just now getting around to addressing the issue with my brights. When I turn them on there is no change in lighting and it appears as if they are just aimed too high.

However, my low beams are aimed just right. I'm guessing I just need to aim them down, but are the low/high beams independent or are they adjusted the same way?

I was hoping to not affect the low beams, but I'm guessing I will need to bring them down in order for high beam lighting to be on the road and not in the air.

Sierra have the one bulb projector halogen setup. Adjusting while on low beam will align the high beam alignment. High beam is provided when the shutter door opens in the headlamp.

Haven't leveled my truck, but realized my headlights were aimed like it was. Can't believe it took me 5 months to realize that. Aimed them down one turn and now the brights are great.
