Those wiring the 2nd pair of lights generally have a bed cover of some type. Very deep and dark in there with a cover and only one pair of lights.

Never occurred to me since my covered Avalanche had an internal light. It was either the sports bar or a bed cover which are mutually incompatible.........sports bar won out for future off road lighting.
