Help! Silverado XB fogs

So I installed these the other day on my 15' Silverado and for the life of me I cannot get these to fit tightly in the housing. I thought I had them tight when I installed but the black pins seem to not push all the way through the factory holes.. anyone have any input or had this problem.

Removing the bumper was such a PITA and I definitely do not wanna remove it twice.

Thanks!

I know it feels like their going to break but u really have to push them in hard...I have the same ones on my truck and it finally took me getting pissed and just jamming them in hard to finally get them seated....good luck

How did you get them seated? Just pressing the corners of the lens? I'll have to retry when I get home from work. Pretty disappointed for $180 lol

would you mind posting a picture of what your talking about? i actually installed mine today. I did not need to remove the bumper and had these installed in about 45 minutes no issues and good fitment.

Yeah I'll try to get a picture when I get home, might be hard to do since they're in the bumper now.

What I'm talking about though is there are I believe three(might even be 2) black pegs on the back of the XB fog light itself. I cannot get them to snap in all the way where the factory clips use to go in. Which in turn makes them wiggle like crazy inside the bumper.

How did you do it without taking off the bumper?

Not sure if it the same system as the Sierra, but in my case there were the solid posts on the XB's, then black caps that go over them, then the holes on the bumper/housing.

I found it much easier to first remove the caps from the vehicle and put them over the posts before inserting them into the housing holes.

If you take the opposite approach by leaving the OEM caps in the housing, it will take much more force to open them up sufficiently to fully depress the XB posts.

you have to re use parts from the existing fogs. i found this video useful on the install of the actual housing and bezel..

. hope this helps. while watching the video i saw where the mounting locations were for the fog lights. I got underneath the truck on leveled ground, took the bolts out and wiggled them out. pulled the wheel liners back a bit as well. pretty straight forward.

Does anyone have pictures of these actually installed and the light output? I've searched 4 different ways and cant seem to find them. I know I have seen them before...

thanks man! i feel like a total tool... i wish i wouldve seen this video before hand. i never switched over the old clips therefore i found the reason why i couldnt get them to fasten securely or adjust them LOL

i was able to remove the fog lights without removing the bumper and it took like 30 mins to do. I appreciate it!

I can possibly take a picture tonight of them and get back to you on it, photos are never really accurate of light output though

That would be greatly appreciated.

I also understand the photo issue, but I currently have the VLED 5202 Fogs, and as other people have stated here, they are strictly aesthetic. They match the HIDs but have little to zero useful light output. Id love to just go full HID but its too excessive and too many horror stories of melted housings....

Im on the fence with these lights.

Having taken the bumber off to install the first time and now not having ot take the bumper off, would you say that this makes the install a little easier?

Now that I know you don't have to take the bumper off I may pull the trigger. However im on the fence between adding these vs going the rigid route......

I still have to get a picture up, (sorry I'm in the process of moving) but I would say it absolutely makes a night and day difference. I would have no problem installing these again. It sucked worse for me because I wasn't paying attention when I was researching and thought it would take 15min, but didn't realize that it was for the Sierra's that made it so easy.

For me, I the hids and the fogs at the same time, so I can't tell you how much better they are. I've heard great things as the rigids as well, just didn't have that kind've budget as I got a descent deals with the hids and fogs together...

Silver8oH did you remove the whole bumper support from the bumper? I don't see any other way to remove the fog light without doing that first. Thanks.

And where did you find these for $180, every place I see is $200?
