2016 Silverado voice rec

My 2016 Silverado does not understand any of my voice commands. I am a country boy but this is crazy. Is there anything that can be done, sit's useless the way it is.

I have never had a vehicle, phone, etc do a good job at recognizing my voice for commands.

Mine works perfect .... Alabama boy here so I have a little accent .... You must say exactly what's in your phone .... Call Ashly's cell or call ash work or call dad or call John Doe .... Or fm 97.5 or xm 34 .... Or hold the phone button down until it beeps and you get your phones voice search over Bluetooth .... Ok Google or Siri

Boston accent here.. I nearly put my fist into the screen the second week I owned the truck.. No matter how many flippin times I said " bayheaven bar and grill" it wouldn't take and my wife had to type it in.. Was just using it for giggles too.. So now if we need the navigation, my wife enters it because the vain on my neck begins to stick out..lol

I have the same problem with voice recognition when using the navigation. No matter how clearly I speak a POI, it just says "Pardon?", or it repeats something not even close to what I said.

My chinese accent semi works, it even has a hard time when I am asking for "shell gas station."
