Adding/finding power fold tow mirrors

Just got a 7-9 inch FTS lift installed on my truck, and can't see anything with the standard mirrors. How hard is the swap? Anyone know where to find them besides the dealer?

If you are going for the full power ones, you have to buy them individually. The kit mirrors are not power fold. If you want all the lights to work (amber front clearance and the cargo/reverse spot lamps), you need both front door harnesses. No programming necessary being an LTZ, just plug and play. 23241465 and 23241467 are the mirror p/n's you need. If you don't have memory seats, 23171566 and 23171572 are the door harnesses you need. If you have memory seats, 23171564 and 23171567 are the harnesses you need.

 

Its really not that hard to do. The door panels have to come off. The hardest things are getting the big door jamb connector apart (if you remove the striker bolt from the body panel you can open the door further) and the trim around the top of the door.

what harness is needed for an LT ? I already purchased the window switch from a member.

GM does not support going from DL8 (LT trim mirrors) to DL3 full power (LTZ mirrors) so I have no idea what is needed. I'd search this site as I think there are people who have converted.

Hey guys, Ive read this and a few of the other thread to try and find my answer.

 

I've purchased the kit from GM with mirrors and code to flash and the harnesses. (NOn-powerfold)

When i went to buy the harnesses I was told that one of the past numbers had changed and now i'm not too sure.

Is the number that one of the harnesses changed to, does anyone know if this is correct?

I have DL8 mirrors currently, and simply want the manual fold mirrors and all lighting to work as advertised.

the old part number 23171566, any insight would be appreciated.
