REAR WATER LEAK

noticed i had some water damage in rear of cab just around both back pillars easy fix or should i take to dealer and have them fix it

The floor and left side rear corner panel were wet last fall in my 2012. 3rd brake light gasket was leaking inside.

Yes, always start with the 3rd brake light on water leaks. Then sunroof- If your truck has that option??

Also, check the sealer that is used in between the side door ring and the roof panel. I had that stuff crack and shrink right at the driver's B pillar area, and the water ran down the A pillar onto the left front driver's floor. At first I thought it was the windshield sealer, but some new body sealer on the top and viola, no more leaks.

Check the cab vents low on the back of each side. Drivers side had a rotted gasket. I got some stick on weatherstrip from a parts store. 5/16" x 1/4" I think. I did the 3rd brake light with that too. All dry now.
