Hello all! I have some tow mirrors on the way to replace my stock mirrors. The ones coming include the turn signal in the mirror as well as the option for heated mirrors. However, my truck is not equipped with heated mirrors and does NOT have a rear defroster.

Looking around online I found people saying that it could be wired up. However, I did come across a post that I found was interesting and thought I would ask you guys if it were true or not. One person said all they did was swap out the heater/ac module for one that had the button for rear defrost. After this, he plugged everything in like normal and (I believe) installed the proper fuse in the fuse box and wallah, heated mirrors! Is this true? Or if I want the heated option will I be forced to do some sort of weird wiring?
