Tow mirrors

I believe most of the ebay tow mirrors don't power fold but have the power adjustments and should fit ur 16. Or you can spring for the OEM mirrors and harnesses that do everything.

I just ordered a 2016 Denali and the dealer said that he could not equip the tow mirrors. I was really looking for getting those bigger mirrors from the factory. O well.

Yeah you can't get them built with the truck, but it's a very simple swap to buy two OEM power folding mirrors and two door harnesses and do it yourself. Just expensive. Even if you find used mirrors you are probably looking at probably $700. The GM accessory non-powerfolding chrome tow mirrors are still gonna run you $500-$600 even if you do the labor yourself. Easy and fun project to remove the door panel, drill a hole, and replace the door wiring harness, but will take you 3-4 hours of the afternoon.

I'm wondering the same for my 2015 Silverado 1500. I want to just get plain black towing mirrors off eBay, don't have to be power fold but I want to be able to use the stock switch to control and fix the mirrors. Not sure if it'll work. I don't have blinker heat or puddle lights now anyway.

  • New to the Forum, I have a late build 2015 Silverado LT w/trailering package(first brand new truck :-) with power and heated mirrors. A turkey glided into the side of my truck and destroyed the pass mirror and dented the door..(now I know why we eat them..) so instead of replacing the mirror I want to upgrade to the towing mirrors with power folding. I have a travel trailer and a boat. I know I need 2 door harness, the power folding mirrors, and a new mirror switch for the power folding option. can anyone confirm if this swap is possible(or have done this swap) I know I'm looking at almost a grand for this swap I just need some direction so I'm not wasting money.

Thank you! and please be gentle...

So even if you already have power folding mirrors (I have a 2015 SLT Sierra) you STILL need the harness, too?

You sure can I have a set on my 15' I like the oem chrome ones but could not justify the cost on a leased truck. I was specifically told the truck has to return as it was received nothing less nothing more.
