2001 4.8 swap to 5.3

[Gmc2005seirra4.8]

Hey I just bought a 2001 gmc seirrra with a ceased 4.8 engine. I have already bought the 5.3 and plan to start the swap tomorrow. From what I know they are the exact same engine on the outside so everything should be the same. I was just looking for some more info and maybe some tips if this swap has been done before thanks!

I can't help ya there, but I'll be following this one. All my experience has been with engines long since shelved by GM. I need to learn these LS engines ...

Tuning will have to be changed. Everything else will bolt up
