Just go aftermarket, its not hard to install.

 

But it's strange that a 2016 vehicle doesn't h ave a backup camera Standard. I thought the Feds passed a law a bit ago that requried all 2016+ vehicles to have backup camera a standard.

I think it's for model year 2018 if I remember correctly.

Update. Truck has been returned to OEM. Surprise call from GMC today offering a $500.00 check for my troubles. Now to my question, do I add. Wireless backup camera and run off my iPad or do I send off HMI and have it

reflashed
