Question about suspension

So I don't know much about suspension or body lifts. I was looking to increase the height of my truck while also improving the ride and doing it right.

 

So I was looking at suspension kits. I have a few questions about them. I am looking to just level the truck (raise the front) or increase the height with a 4 inch lift.

 

I was looking at icon which sells a set and their suspension says 1 to 3 inches. I assume that means you can extended it up 1 to 3 inches? Would that work without the need of anything else to level the truck?

 

I also was looking at fab tech and bds sets. Bds only sells a 4 inch suspension lift while fab also sells a 2.5 inch. But they both say I can't use factor wheels. Is that because I would need an offset rim to widen my stance?

 

Also how much does the ride change with a 2.5 or 4 inch lift? I really want to lift my truck but I also want it to ride wheel and safe. I'm not looking for an crazy lift as I'd still like to fit in the garage and I figure 4 inch or less would do. I am just not sure what is involved or do I need to look for in order to do this.

 

 

Also one last thing, ideally I'd like to get a bigger set of tires like 33 or 34 if there is such a thing.

Icon, baja kits, and maxilla suspension kits all offer better ride quality, suspension travel and up to 3 inches of leveling. I am partial to the baja pre runner kit with shocks. Non of those will be cheap options. If you do any real wheeling they all are great.
