How long did you wait before buying a tune or tuning it yourself?

I've had my truck for around 3 weeks. I'm seriously considering paying for the credits to tune my truck with HP Tuners since I already own HP Tuners.

 

How long did you wait before you modified your ECM?

5500 miles of shifting like crap and not knowing if it would move out of its own way...lol....BBP tuned !

5-600 miles then drove from Houston to Fort Worth had BB tune it. Would have drove from the dealer lot to tune but had to wait for him to come to Texas. I'll never own a truck without BB onboard.(period)

About 1200 miles. Wanted it broken in and some pretty hard driving to make sure the engine/trans would stay in one piece. Once I felt they were in good shape, had it tuned. What a difference.

I waited about 10,000 miles and then got BBP tune. Sure wish I would have done it at 10 miles. lol.

So long as you return the tune to stock for dealer visits, you are good to go.
